Stinking Lizaveta, Saccharine Trust, Bluebird
at the SiIver Lake Lounge (see Other Rock Events).

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Being trapped at someone's loft party and forced to listen to some stoners playing blues scales and jamming till the morning can be slow torture in a Guatamalan prison. But improv rock jamming in the hands of Stinking Lizaveta, two furry Greek guys and a girl from Philly, is more like watching a talented magician or ice skater in top form.

The music has some Greg Ginn moments, some free jazz inspirations, lots of high-end guitar solos amid the occasional elaborate melody. All instrumental, rarely wanky in a nauseous metal or blues way and tasteful in their choice of various improvisational meanderings, Stinking Lizaveta frequently comes up with gorgeous music, sounding both polished and Unruly.

Also, don't miss poet Jack Brewer's Saccharine Trust, an essential old-school SST punk band who've newly re-formed (Adam Bregman)
